Information You Choose to Send
Search Terms
A name, place, or other detail entered into a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Louisiana Recent Arrests does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages
If you send a message through a contact channel, we keep it so we can read and answer it. We do not share message contents outside the organization unless the law requires it.
Technical Data and Cookies

- Pages viewed and time spent on each
- Referring site, when available

Cookies
Cookies help measure how the site is used. Browser controls can block or remove them, though some site functions may work differently when cookies are disabled.
Why Information Is Used
The information described above supports ordinary site functions and maintenance, including:
- Operating and maintaining site pages

- Showing advertising that may reflect visitor interests
Outside Sites and Their Privacy Rules
Louisiana Recent Arrests links to parish rosters, sheriff and corrections pages, government portals, local sites, and search providers. Once you follow an outside link, that organization controls its own privacy rules and data practices.
Some advertising partners may track activity across websites through their own systems to tailor ads. Those partner practices are outside the control of Louisiana Recent Arrests.
Public records held by Louisiana agencies are a separate subject from visitor data submitted here. The Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., supplies state public-records context. The Louisiana Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law, La. R.S. 51:1401 et seq., is the state's named consumer-protection law. These citations do not interpret either law for a particular person's circumstances.
Who May Receive Information
Louisiana Recent Arrests does not sell personal data. Information may be handled by the following service providers or authorities:
- Search partners that receive search queries
- Analytics services that measure site use
- Advertising networks
- Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Security Measures
We use reasonable, common security steps to protect information under our control. Internet systems cannot be made fully secure, so no promise can be made that data will never be exposed or accessed without permission.
Visitors Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent personal data, a parent or guardian may contact us to ask that it be deleted.

You may ask us about personal information held in a message or other direct contact record. Requests may include asking us to:
- Provide a copy of information we hold
